I made this last year in July before i went traveling. I used an old large denim jacket and my old dress to create this piece. I figured wearing this dress once for halloween was enough :o).
If you want to make this, you will need;
- 1/4 Metre of sequenced fabric - I used an old dress.
- 1 extra large denim jacket - Any old one will do.
- 1/2 Metre of long fringed tassel ribbon in black ( for the shoulders).
- 1/2 Metre of short fringed tassel ribbon in black ( for the back). I bought these on my last trip to Singapore. Arab Street is full of the most amazing fabric shops.
- Patches - I have used Military themed patches here. Use as many as you want. There is no rule to how or where you can place them. I bought these in Dubai when i used to live there. Also available on amazon too and can be delivered to your door within a few days.
My friend gave me this Quiz dress when i was living Qatar. We used to swap clothes a lot in the office because she and I were the only two of the same size. I wore this only once for Halloween in 2012 and haven't worn it since so decided to cut it up and make something new. I couldn't let all this beautiful sequence go to waste.
