I think cute is an understatement for these shorts. It turned out better than I expected. I called this the 'Sonya' shorts after one of my best friends in boarding school in the Solomon Islands, who always used to run wearing these cute denim shorts. Denim shorts always remind me of her and so i thought it was very fitting to give this her name.
You will need ;
- An old pair of jeans ( long or short- doesn't matter because it will be cut anyway).
- Floral cotton fabric - about 1/4 a metre for the frills around the legs. It adds a very feminism touch when there's flowers on your clothes . I used new fabric but you can also use the bottom length of an old dress or an old set of curtains. There is no limit to where you get your fabric from. If you can re-use, even better.
- Floral cotton fabric - 1/4 metre for the belt.
